😢 Places We Miss
Earlier this week, we asked our social media followers which now-closed local spots they wished they could grab just one more meal from. Here are the top responses.

Tate’s Craft Cocktails
Tate’s Craft Cocktails | Closed May 2025 | Our followers' most-mentioned spot had been a staple of downtown WS for 15 years. Now home to Chronic Guru.
Mary’s Gourmet Diner | Closed May 2020 | Mary Haglund's comfort-food spot was replaced by Mojito Latin Soul Food, which also closed.
Mooney’s Mediterranean Cafe | Closed October 2020 | Known for shawarma and falafel. Mooney’s has hosted 2 pop-ups at Krankies this year!
Poppyseed Provisions | Closed February 2023 | A general store — think grab-and-go meals and penny candy. Now Louie & Honey's retail space.
Bib’s Downtown | Closed December 2020 | Owner Mark Little called his style "Bestern" BBQ. Replaced by ALV Nightclub.
Sweet Potatoes | Closed February 2025 | Southern soul food from Vivián Joiner and Stephanie Tyson — a Trade Street staple for 20+ years.
