The German National Team selected Winston-Salem as its training grounds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup!
What: Four-time FIFA World Cup champions Germany will use Wake Forest’s Spry Soccer Stadium as its training site and the Graylyn Estate as its team headquarters.
When: The team arrives in Winston-Salem on June 8, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11 through July 19 across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Why It Matters: This partnership puts Winston-Salem on the international stage, bringing global visibility and economic growth to our city!
