Team USA may be out of the World Cup, but you can still watch Winston-Salem's own soccer team compete in its final 2 matches!

Meet the Team: Salem City FC plays in USL League 2, a semi-professional circuit, with plans to go pro in 2028! The team is made up of college students on summer break from schools across the country and around the world.
Why Go? It’s more than just soccer — Reynolds Stadium turns into a full-on fan experience with face painting, bounce houses, pizza, and ice cream all game long!
Catch a Game: Their season wraps up this week with home games Wednesday and Saturday at 7 PM. Twelve games in, they sit at 4-2-6.

🎾 Social Group: Meet the Triad Latino Pickleball Club: a new beginner-friendly social group started by Venezuelan sisters Grace and Sharon. All skill levels and cultures are welcome to join them on the courts! Stay tuned for the date of their second meetup.
🛝 Project: Construction started on Hathaway Park's new playground, with work expected to wrap up in 2-3 weeks. The playground was demolished in March because spray from the splash pad was rusting the equipment.
🤝 Impact: Leadership Winston-Salem is launching Leadership Legacy, a 6-week program for adults 65+ designed to deepen community connections and spark local impact. Sessions begin September 8 and meet every other Tuesday through November.

Add this to your summer bucket list! Unwind with a peaceful paddle across Forsyth County’s largest body of water.
What: Salem Lake Marina rents out single and tandem kayaks, starting at $8 for 2 hours and then $4 for each additional hour.
Know Before You Go: Rentals are first-come, first-served. We recommend packing sunscreen, water, snacks, and a waterproof bag.
Availability: Kayaks are available mid-May through September 24. Rentals open at 8 AM on weekends and 9 AM on weekdays, with the last one issued at 4 PM.
