  • Independence Day Dash Games | July 3-5 | Truist Stadium | Cheer on the Dash and stick around for the city’s largest fireworks show.

  • Salem Band Concert | Salem Square | Bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening of patriotic classics, including the "1812 Overture" and "Stars & Stripes Forever."

Thursday, June 25

  • The Grackle - Locals share funny, raw, and real stories at Lot 63, hosted by The Healing Pen. Free to attend. 6:30 PM

  • 1Love Festival - Explore African diasporic culture through music, immersive conversations, and hands-on experiences at The Ramkat and The Enterprise Center. Runs through Saturday.

  • Vault Tour - Tour the Moravian Archives Vault and discover artifacts like letters from George Washington and Salem’s 4th of July proclamation! 1 PM

  • Paint & Sip - Unwind with a cold beer while painting a beach scene at Joymongers. 6 PM

🚶‍♀️ Walk Winston’s Past

A Winston-Salem startup just made it easier to explore 250 years of local history — no tour guide required.

  • Background: Founded by local entrepreneur Linda Carnell, Walksy is a self-guided walking tour app that lets users start wherever they want and explore at their own pace. It has hundreds of tours across North America, South America, and Europe!

  • Make it Local: Walksy partnered with Visit Winston-Salem to create a new tour: "Winston-Salem Through the Ages: 250 Years of History.” The free, 2-hour tour spans 2.7 miles and includes 13 stops at historic landmarks, guiding participants through the city's history.

  • The Goal: “Our hope is that people walk away with a deeper appreciation for the city and the remarkable stories that have shaped it." - Walksy founder Linda Carnell
